Eleven participants (5 female, 6 male), all with professional knowledge of business management, great experience in training adults and entrepreneurs, from national and international organizations/companies have been selected after a competitive process. Through the 10-day, tough, and intensive training program, they have been familiarized with the SIYB program standards, content, training cycle, training skills, SIYB game, interlinked certification process and so much more. We wish them good luck and success in their future steps! SIYB-Afghanistan also apologizes for the organizations that decided to submit late applications, since it has a comprehensive selection process and is really difficult to select at the last minute but for sure we are going to plan another TOT in the near future and inform you accordingly.
Phase || Women Entrepreneurship Development Program with DAI/USAID and SIYB-Afghanistan
Now more than ever before, an unprecedented number of Afghan women are participating in the formal private sector economy as entrepreneurs, business owners. Nevertheless, they are facing significant challenges in their businesses due to the lack of having the necessary business skills. Fortunately, women can make significant economic contributions if they are empowered through essential business skills and business management training. To get the better of the mentioned challenges the SIYB- Afghanistan Company implemented a simplified, compact, six-day skilled-based business planning, finance and costing, marketing, and operational management training packages to support women-owned agribusinesses, under USAID funded AVC-Livestock project in four regions Central (Kabul), Northern (Mazar-I-Sharif), Western (Herat), Eastern(Jalalabad) of Afghanistan.
Provision of Market Requirements and Marketing Training by DAI Global, LLC Afghanistan Value Chains – Livestock Project and SIYB-Afghanistan
This activity was designed to increase participant knowledge and awareness of market requirements and supply chain logistics for local women producers and processors in livestock value chains who either manage an association or own a small business. The SIYB- Afghanistan Company conducted a simplified, compact, one-day skilled-based marketing training package to support women-owned agribusinesses, under the USAID-funded AVC-Livestock project in Bamyan, Kandahar, Mazar-I-Sharif, and Herat provinces of Afghanistan.

We are thrilled to announce that we are back after the Covid-19 pandemic!!! As the follow-up result of last year’s Women Entrepreneurship Development Program with DAI/USAID, which was conducted by SIYB- Afghanistan in four regions were positive, and the duplication of similar activity is highly recommended by the women entrepreneurs’ who benefited from the training last year. SIYB-Afghanistan with coordination of DAI/USAID started the second phase of the project from Mazar-i-Sharif and soon in other provinces.
